FAQ
Where do sessions take place?
Most of my sessions take place outdoors in beautiful locations across Oxfordshire, whether that’s woodland, open countryside, somewhere meaningful to your family or one of my favourite tried-and-tested spots. I can also photograph you at home if you’d prefer something cosy and familiar. Once you book, we can chat about what would suit your family best.
What happens if it rains?
Ah, the joys of being a photographer in Britain! A little drizzle doesn’t necessarily stop us, but I’m not going to make you stand in torrential rain pretending you’re having a lovely time. I’ll keep an eye on the forecast and, if the weather really isn’t playing ball, we’ll rearrange for another suitable date.
What should we wear?
Above everything else, wear something that feels like you. You don’t need to arrive in perfectly matching outfits — in fact, I’d rather you didn’t! Coordinating colours, interesting textures and earthy or muted tones tend to photograph beautifully. Once you’ve booked, I’ll send you some guidance to help, and I’m always happy to chat through outfit ideas if you’re unsure.
What if my children don't cooperate?
Then they’ll be children — which is exactly what I expect!
They don't need to sit still, smile on command or be on their best behaviour. They can run, explore, cuddle, hide, be shy, need a snack or decide five minutes in that photography is deeply offensive to them. I’ll work around them rather than expecting them to work around me.

Can I purchase more photographs?
Absolutely. Depending on the package you choose, your session may include a set number of digital images. When your gallery is ready, you’ll be able to choose your favourites and, if narrowing them down proves impossible (a lovely problem to have!), you’ll have the option to purchase additional photographs or upgrade to the full gallery.
When will we receive our gallery?
Your finished gallery will usually be ready within approximately three weeks of your session. Every image is individually selected and edited in my signature style, so I don't rush this part. As soon as everything is ready, you'll receive a private online gallery where you can sit down with a cuppa, look through them all and choose your favourites.
Do you travel outside Oxfordshire?
Yes! Oxfordshire is home, but I'm very happy to travel further afield for the right session. Depending on the distance, an additional travel fee may apply. Tell me where you have in mind when you enquire and I'll let you know what's possible.
Can I order prints?
Please do! Your photographs deserve to live somewhere other than your camera roll.
You'll be able to order beautiful, professional-quality prints and other products directly through your online gallery. They're produced by professional photographic labs, so you'll get the colour, detail and quality your images were edited for and something tangible to enjoy for years rather than another photograph disappearing into your phone.
