Cancellation & Rescheduling
Life happens — especially when children are involved.
If you need to change your session, please let me know as soon as possible.
Rescheduling
Where reasonable notice is provided, I will usually be happy to move your booking to another available date.
If someone in your family is genuinely unwell, please don't feel you need to drag everyone to a photography session. Let me know and we'll discuss rearranging.
Repeated rescheduling or very late changes may be subject to additional terms where I have incurred costs or lost the opportunity to accept another booking.
Weather
Grey skies don't automatically mean cancellation — this is Britain, after all!
If the weather is likely to make the session uncomfortable, unsuitable or unsafe, I will contact you to discuss our options.
Depending on the circumstances, we may:
- continue as planned;
- change location;
- adjust the session time; or
- reschedule to another suitable date.
There is no additional rescheduling charge where I decide that weather conditions mean an outdoor session should be postponed.
Client cancellation
If you decide to cancel your session completely, please contact me as soon as possible.
Any refund or amount retained will depend upon the circumstances, the notice provided, work already undertaken and losses reasonably incurred as a result of the cancellation.
I will always aim to deal with cancellations fairly and reasonably.
Cancellation by Ruby Eliason Photography
In the unlikely event that illness, emergency or circumstances beyond my reasonable control prevent me from photographing your session, I will offer to reschedule your session.
If I cannot provide the booked service within a reasonable timeframe and an alternative cannot be agreed, payments relating to services that cannot be supplied will be refunded.
Exceptional circumstances
I understand that genuine emergencies happen.
If something unexpected prevents you from attending, please talk to me. My priority is finding a fair and reasonable solution rather than adding more stress to an already difficult day.
